Breaking Dawn Part 1: Opening Weekend Numbers

With a little less than two months to go until the release of Breaking Dawn Part 1, Boxoffice.com is putting out its guess on how much the film will make on opening weekend. The site predicts that Breaking Dawn Part 1 will make $155,000,000 at the box office, and reach $300,000,000 by the time it wraps up its domestic run:

Summit's Twilight Saga is coming to an end starting in November, and hysteria is bound to reach an all-time high as a result. While some fans may have outgrown the series, they've likely been replaced by younger enthusiasts. This one is going to be a juggernaut at the box office.

This is how it stacks up right now: (Numbers by Box Office Mojo)

                                          Opening Weekend                             Cumulative

Twilight                             $69,637,740                                  $192,769,854

New Moon                        $142,839,137                                $296,623,634

Eclipse                               $64,832,191                                  $300,531,751

Breaking Dawn???  - It all depends on YOU.. and don't forget tickets go on sale Saturday on Fandango and Movietickets.com

  1. If it even makes that much... I doubt it will even make over $140 million. It's not as big as it was 2 years ago. It's past it's prime. It definitely won't break HP's records-any one of them. If BD 1 and 2 were in 3D, then I'd say absolutely, but because it's just the movie, no.
