New Album?, New Role?.. It's Rumor Tuesday!

If there is one thing we hate the most about a slow news day, is that it immediately leads to rumor mill central as soon as any questionable bit comes out. Let's take a look at the latest entries:

The first one is not so much a rumor, but simply a name mention. Warner Brothers is reportedly looking to cast The Man From U.N.C.L.E., and The Playlist says Rob's name is in the mix:

WB is throwing other wishlist names around as well, including usual suspects like Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Pine, Christian Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jon Hamm, Russell Crowe and Robert Pattinson, hoping one of them will stick with the director.

That's that. We'll follow up if there's anything to it.

The second item on today's rumor list is one that's getting fans excited, with Us Weekly claiming Rob is in the process of recording an album. We want to believe it... but it's Us Weekly reporting it:

"Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn't allow it," one insider explains of the superstar, who recorded two songs, "Never Think" (which he co-wrote with pal Sam Bradley) and "Let Me Sign" for the original.

"Now he's got some weeks to get everything in line before going back to promoting Breaking Dawn." But don't expect a chart-topping album with broad mass appeal and a string of top 40 hits. "The album Rob will make will be guitar-based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop," explains a second source of the indie-music fan, "Like stripped-down "Ray LaMontagne meets "Van Morrison."

As much as we'd love for this rumor to be true, we are holding off on our groupie road trip planning for now. Especially after Gossip Cop's source (yes, another one of those) says Rob "is not" currently planning to record right now. (UPDATE: MTV further confirms that).

Lastly a bit on Unbound Captives. Not sure how new this quote is, but Hugh Jackman reportedly talked about being part of the project:

The 42-year-old is appearing in the film adaptation of Les Misérables, and hopes the role will bring him more opportunities. “Madeline Stowe, the actress, has a script she’s written and is going to direct which is beautiful. It’s called Unbound Captives and I’d love to be involved in that,” he said.

We'll have to see if filming gets going next year.  And that's your wrap on rumor Tuesday!
